Christopher Lee began at a healthy 6 lbs and 1 ½ oz.
and 19 inches long. He was released from the hospital the same day I was. His daddy
was there to take us home, we gathered our things and home we went. Christopher
had a bassinet to sleep in and everything was a teddy bear theme, except for his mobile
which was mickey mouse. His favorite daytime fun soon became his swing, he loved his
swing. I was always hearing from family and friends about how I had such a good baby, he
didn't cry unless something was wrong, he was a treasure. His first Holiday was
Thanksgiving and we went to different family members' houses and had dinner and
visited. The next holiday was of course Christmas, His FIRST christmas. We
went out and bought the lil "first christmas" ornament and of course
his own lil stocking for santa to fill. We were so happy, and as a first time
mom, I was getting use to this. I had so much love in my heart. The new year came
and with it new thoughts about Christopher's firsts. I was so looking forward to
the first time he said mama. His first doctors' visits came and
went, as did his 2 month vaccinations with no ill side effects. He was growing
as healthy as he should be. Another holiday came, Valentine's day. My sister
gave him a lil bear and we got him a lil present as well. On Monday, March 15, 1993
he had a doctor's appt., a four month check up. Things went great and he was as
healthy as he could be at 15 lbs. 10 oz. At this time I was told to make an appt for his next shots. We went
home and things preceded as they had been. We were so happy, I started feeding him
vegetables that the doctor said would be okay to do now. He loved that, we started
with carrots. That night I went to the store and bought all kinds of baby food.
Life was as good as we thought it ever would be. I was use to being a mom now, and
enjoyed everything he did...
